Aston Martin Prince of Wales's Championship Cup Day 3 30th July 2025

Jindal Panther laid out their intentions in their opening match in the Aston Martin Prince of Wales’s Championship Cup on Tuesday afternoon. They delivered an impressive performance to beat Tunde Karim’s Shoreline 15-9. Some superb polo from the Pieres siblings, Facundo and Nico, gave the Panther team a comfortable 8-5 lead at half-time. With impressive synergy, the brothers were always in the right place to collect or send a pass and made a habit of firing through lofted goals from distance. The result of such play was a notable win for Venkatesh Jindal’s team. Jindal himself scored a duo of goals, while Hazel Jackson was impressive in defence, keeping Shoreline’s higher handicapped professionals off the ball. Shoreline put up a spirited defence which belied the final score though. Ed Banner-Eve in particular battled hard to keep Shoreline’s hopes alive. Sadly frustration got the better of Fran Elizalde in the fifth which resulted in two yellow cards and a couple of minutes in the sin bin. Luckily for Shoreline little damage was done during this time, with Banner-Even even converting a 30-yard penalty. He then scored a lovely goal with around five minutes left on the clock. Elizalde finished on a high with a big hit to goal but Jindal Panther had already secured victory thanks to an unattainable lead earlier in this match.
