A fabulous blend of military and Club polo, plus the highlight of being entertained by a military band, creates an evocative blend of sport and pageantry on finals day. There is plenty of polo throughout the day - matches start at 10.30am. The main game of the day is the final of the Major General's Cup, which will be played at 3pm.
Guards Polo Club was initially a military club, known as the Household Brigade Polo Club; it changed its name to the more familiar Guards Polo Club in 1969. And, although we became a fully civilian club in 2000, we are proud of our still strong links with the Armed Forces - particularly the Household Division, which includes the Grenadier, Coldstream, Scots and Welsh Guards as well as the Household Cavalry (Life Guards and Blues & Royals).
A full timetable of matches and hospitality - which includes sundowner cocktails and a live DJ on the Clubhouse Terrace to conclude the day - will be published here nearer the time but we welcome all military personnel on this day. Email our events team at email@example.com to find out more.
