This event is held to promote the relationship and strengthen the cultural ties between the UK and the participating countries of the GCC, which include Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The event also raises thousands of pounds for a variety of charities both here and in these Arab states. The highlight of the day is the invitational match featuring a Guards Polo Club team in action against a GCC squad. Historically, HM The Queen arrives from Royal Ascot in time to present the cup to the winning captain.
Please note that this game does not start until 4.30pm as it is held in during Ascot Week.
