The Keith Prowse Spring Tournament opened the 2010 season at Guards Polo Club last weekend (24 April). The first matches saw wins for Alastair Thomas's Ali Cats - who defeated Los Borracos 9-7 - and Clive Reid's AFB defeated Vivek Rawal's Tashan Polo (rec 0.5) 11 - 5.5.
Sunday's games saw the Mathias' Clarita defeat Stefan Sund's Lost Boys 10-4 to win the match and receive the Loyd Trophy, named in honour of William Loyd, a former polo manager at the Club. The second match featured another win for the Ali Cats, who defeated Alastair Walker and Alan Fall's Mad Dogs 7-2.
The battles between these 15 6-goal teams continues until finals day on Sunday 9 May.
