The 2010 Ganjam Jaipur Trophy 2010 will start at 3pm on Saturday 26 June, just four hours after a memorial service to the Rajamata of Jaipur, the founder of this competition, in neighbouring Sunninghill. That first game featured Bucket Hill (Capt Nigel Corbally Stourton (2), Ramiro Zamora (4), Gonzalo Tanoira (8), Major Ronald Ferguson (5)) v Windsor Park (Lord Patrick Beresford (4); James Ashton (4), Paul Withers (6), Duke of Edinburgh (5)). The Bucket Hill team won 5-4. Following his death in 1970 the Rajamata continued to present the trophy at Guards Polo Club, attending as recently as 2008 - at the age of 89.
This year the game returns to its high-goal status and will be played as a high-goal league match for the Gold Cup. The teams taking to the ground at 3pm are Roger Carlsson's Billingbear Park versus Stefano Masaglia's Piaget.
